President's Message
Greetings Mothers!Mothers, first, let me say I am excited to serve as the Las Vegas Chapter President for the next two years! These are challenging times we are in. However, I think this only legitimizes the fact that we as mothers need to band together and support one other in these difficult times.
Our Teen Conference was a huge success. It was held in June at San Francisco State University. We had approximately 10 of our teens attend. The highlight of the conference was when Matt Malone was recognized as the Outstanding Teen of the Far West Region. Congratulations Matt. And, good luck at Stanford University this fall. You know you have the support of your Las Vegas Chapter behind you.
I trust that everyone is enjoying their summer. Our program year will kick off in September with our Carol Robertson Day/Annual Picnic. I know the picnic committee is working hard to make this event a roaring success.
Our Mothers Regional Conference is slated for August 22nd in Seattle, Washington. This is a time for all mothers of the Far West Region to join together for an educational, rejuvenating time.
Our Mothers Area Work Day is scheduled for October. This year it will be hosted by the Inglewood Chapter. Reminder moms, this year, our goal are 100% participation from the Las Vegas Chapter. And hopefully, we will have one of our teens participate in the oratorical competition.
